The 27^th IAHR International Symposium on Ice will be held at Gdańsk University of Technology (northern Poland-Baltic Sea coast) from 9th to 13th of June 2024. The symposium covers river, lake, and sea ice, shipping in ice, ice to structure interaction including offshore wind turbines as well as climatic and ecological issues. The participants of the symposium are mainly researchers in various fields of engineering and arctic research. Based on the previous events the community of around 200 researchers is expected. Several keynote lecturers and scientific committee who are the prominent research professors are invited to the symposium.

Based on the experiences from the previous IAHR Ice Symposiums, the participants are interested in getting in touch with the latest inventions on the market. The attendants’ areas of interest are monitoring and measurements referring to river, sea, lake ice as well water and soil. Additionally, the attendants deal with water quality and ecology as well as other water related environmental measurements. The attendees are also engaged in offshore wind turbine projects located in arctic environment. Furthermore, the implementing softwares and equipment will be of noticeable attention. Large interest is in the ship technology referring to the shipping in ice condition and ice-breaking operations for both sea and inland waters.

On the behalf of the chair of the symposium, companies are invited to the sponsorship of the symposium. Aim is to introduce new technologies to the participants of the conference and exchange ideas between experienced researchers and young scientists. The impact of the scientist aspect of this sponsorship opportunity is of high importance. Five different sponsorship packages for the symposium are as follows.
